Mockup Poster seen in real world enviroment

This project was the creation of a poster on a Canadian Jazz Legend. The original poster was for a lecture on Oscar Peterson. I further created a series of posters using the original style to create a series that could be placed near each other.

During my prototyping my favorite concept I came up with was thinking about representing jazz visually. Way jazz is often described is rhythmic, diminishing and smooth, I started with a simple curve that I was based off the curves of a grand piano. Slowly it became obvious to me I could get the image of music notation and the bars used in writing down music. I experimented with the curve quite a bit in exploration

When I expanded the idea of the poster into a series I went back t the original curve and made sure it could stretch through all 3 and link them visually. When aligned in this digital mockup the representation of jazz freely flows accross the wall.
